Tonya Snyder, head of school

Tonya Snyder joined the faculty of The Cornerstone Christian School, a daughter ministry of MCN, in August 2007.  She has served as the school’s principal (now head of school) since August 2008.  Tonya and her family have been committed to Christian education since 1991.  Tonya began her journey as an educator in 1984 within the Connecticut public school system and served there for 8 years.  She homeschooled her five children for the following 12 years while also serving other Christian homeschool families through the ministry of The Christian Family Nurturing Center.  In 2001 Tonya began teaching at The King’s School until God moved her to Cornerstone.  In addition to loving her educational and administrative assignments, Tonya is deeply committed to her family and loves being Nana to her three grandchildren.  She also loves writing, quilting, and photography.
